We believe that hospice patients should be as comfortable as possible, and for most people this means staying at home. Evergreen Hospice can provide care wherever you live, whether it is in your home, a skilled nursing facility, a retirement center or an adult family home. Our hospice team makes regular visits and is on-call 24 hours a day to meet the health needs of patients.

Care is also available at the inpatient unit at the Gene & Irene Wockner Hospice Center, located on the campus of Evergreen Hospital Medical Center in Kirkland. Most hospice patients need inpatient care for only a short time to relieve symptoms, and then they return home. The inpatient center also offers short-term respite care; caring for the terminally ill is an around-the-clock job, and it can be helpful to get a break in order to re-energize. The warm and comfortable Center also provides a place to call home for those who have no one available to provide regular support during their illness.
